I wrote about generally balancing chakras and specifically about the Sacral Chakra, but I didn’t go into as much detail as I felt led to do. Within the past few weeks, I have been paying a lot of attention to the Sacral Chakra.

I have been feeling very drawn to energies that balance the Sacral Chakra. It could be that the universe was giving me cues that I was out of alignment and that I should take care of my needs. It was only after my therapist showed me an image with a funny sacral chakra joke, that I was willing to make a conscious effort to focus on aligning and balancing. That’s what I’ve been doing during my therapy reflecting week.

I have been dipping my toe in the pond of getting to know some folks, virtually of course, and that is an area that could fall well into that sacral chakra area.

Also, I have been obsessed with orange foods, orange and mango scented sprays, orange-flavored tea, and spending more time in and around water. All of these activities focus heavily on aligning the Sacral Chakra.

Additionally, during the past few weeks, I have been paying attention to trying to get my fibroids under control. I think I’ve been more successful than I’ve ever been in the past. The Sacral Chakra is two to three inches below the navel, which is right in the reproductive area.

The energy centers for the Sacral Chakra are spleen, ovaries, uterus, urinary tract, kidneys, and adrenals. All of this aligns with the impact that a blockage in this area could impact the reproductive areas. In my case, the ongoing battle with fibroids.

So, all of this led me to get serious about balancing and aligning my Sacral Chakra, especially since I felt as if I had been inadvertently led in this direction. So, in addition to reproductive issues, an unaligned Sacral Chakra can show up in a variety of ways.

Underactive Sacral Chakra:

🔸Overly serious

🔸Difficulty with spontaneity

🔸Lacking in creativity

🔸Intellectualizing sexuality

🔸Overthinking body awareness

Overactive Sacral Chakra:

🔸Dependency on relationships

🔸Addicted to substances

🔸Obsessed with pleasurable experiences

🔸Ruled by your emotions

Balanced Sacral Chakra:

🔸A natural flow in relationships

🔸Nurturing romantic relationships

🔸Feeling harmonious

🔸Sexually comfortable

🔸Body positivity related to sexuality

The Sacral Chakra is a water element of life. It’s really about balance and flowing with that energy to be a peace with yourself. The goal is to be fluid and connected to your emotions, creativity, and sexuality in a healthy way. The ultimate goal is to connect to your ability to experience the joys and pleasures of the world.

The Sacral Chakra is orange, is located near the sacrum which intersects with the pelvis bone, and is often called the “Sex Chakra.” It is more involved than that because it is thought to be the center of our creativity. So there’s a bit of intersection between sexuality and creativity.

The Sacral Plexus is all about creativity, sexuality, and core strength. So focusing on those areas with yoga poses would be perfect.

You can incorporate crystals in your world in a variety of ways. You can have them in your home, or you can wear them in the form of jewelry. There are jewel creators that specialize in making custom pieces that can balance your chakras. My favorite jewelry artist owns Earth & Fire.

Below are some crystals that would be great to use. However, there are many more stones that will work for you. Also, always remember to lay your crystals out overnight to absorb the moonlight.

Meditation doesn’t have to be that deep. You can simply use some music, quiet time, and visualize to accomplish your goals of connecting to your Sacral Chakra. Visualize the location, think about the color orange and focus on aligning and addressing your needs.

They can help you connect with the Sacral Chakra. You can use 5 to 6 drops added to a carrier oil like jojoba and apply to the area two to three inches below your navel. You can also rub the oil in your palms and inhale as the fragrance releases into the air. As you do this, it would be a great time to verbalize affirmations. Below is a shortlist of oils that are related to balancing the Sacral Chakra.

🔸I am capable and willing to love and accept love.

🔸I embrace my creativity and it lives within me.

🔸I am capable of being a sensual, sexual being unapologetically.

🔸Creativity brings me joy and fills my soul.

🔸Sexuality and intimacy are intertwined and sacred.

🔸I am not only desired, but I’m also lovable.

🔸I embrace all of life’s pleasures and I am one sexy mofo.

Try to incorporate orange food into your diet. I have been recently adding orange to my tea. I have also been enjoying yams, orange peppers, carrots, cantaloupe, pumpkin, and nectarines.

Drinking plenty of water should be a part of your existence anyway, but you have the added benefit of it being aligned with balancing the Sacral Chakra. That’s because water is the primary driving element of the Sacral Chakra, so make sure you drink plenty.

The focus color of the Sacral Chakra is orange, so having these accents handy within your home would be great. You don’t have to redecorate your entire home. You can add some inexpensive items, like orange candles, throw rugs, and pillows.

As I mentioned, water is the primary element of the Sacral Chakra, adding a water fountain could be a great, inexpensive touch to your decor.

Exercise is generally not thought of to balance chakras, but it can be done. Dancing and hula hooping are two fun ways to get in some exercise, and balance the Sacral Chakra, at the same time.

I tap into my creativity during my 9-5 job. I also find writing here is very creative and cathartic. Painting, drawing, and web design are also creative ways to align your Sacral Chakra while doing something you love.

Tantric Sex is also a way to tap into your Sacral Chakra. I won’t go into more detail here. You can figure it out. Mind ya’ business.

I would love to know your thoughts on Sacral Chakras or Chakras in general. Reach out, let’s chat on FBIG, and Twitter.
