Sacral Chakra, Essential Oils, Crystals, and Fibroids
6 min readFor the past year, I learned about chakras, essential oils, and crystals. I have always been open to learning about more holistic ways to move through this world that is heavily dependent up more pharmaceutical modes of functioning. I have never been into pharmaceuticals, and I only use them when I feel as if my life would be in jeopardy if I didn’t. I never took a birth control pill in my life and took one round of Tylenol with codeine when I had my csection with my son. I didn’t care for the feel of that narcotic form of Tylenol, so I switched to traditional acetaminophen while recovering from that surgery twenty-one years ago.
I grew up in a household that was heavily natural medicine focused. My father would whip out his Back To Eden book and create a salve, tea, or lotion in a minute. When I was suffering from a horrible case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome when my son was a baby, my father created a treatment that allowed me to avoid CTS surgery. Before then, my father made a salve to help a friend that was suffering from a skin disorder. So, I grew up knowing and experiencing personally that natural remedies work for some things. Of course, some instances that require professional medical intervention, so it’s always good to seek that help when needed.

Fibroids are something I have been dealing with for over twenty-one years. That has not been ongoing, but only an issue with the escalation in my estrogen level connected to pregnancy previously and perimenopause. I am dealing with what could be called estrogen dominance. That happens when there is a decline in progesterone and an escalation of estrogen.
The most common remedy for fibroids is hysterectomy. Fibroids are connected to estrogen dominance, yet surgery doesn’t seem to address this at all. The underlying condition of estrogen dominance could still be an issue after the surgery. The only difference is, fibroids are not in place. So, where does the overgrowth of estrogen go, now that the female reproduction system has been removed? My concern is that it moves to breast tissue. I don’t know that this is the case, but it’s just something I’m concerned about. I view fibroids as an effect of estrogen dominance, but what is the cause? So addressing the effect without addressing the cause with an invasive surgery is not the route I choose to take. That is 100% my opinion, and should not be considered medical advice.
I decided to fight the good fight in lieu of surgery quite a while ago. I often question my sanity in doing so. However, when I think about this, I realize I’ve made a hard but correct choice to continue fighting the good fight. So in making this choice, I always knew I would have to make some hard choices and lifestyle adjustments. Those changes have been ongoing for years and continue to be as I learn more about living with these fibroids.
Estrogen dominance is the primary focus when trying to get the growth of fibroids under control. Sounds easy, right? Well, that is not necessarily the case because toxins that emulate estrogen are literally poisoning us daily. After all, it’s in our food, beauty products, storage, and so much more. I wrote about it recently, in Xenoestrogens and Fibroids.

I’ve previously adjusted my diet to minimize the number of Xenoestrogens that I intake. I was lucky that I’d given up red meat and pork, over twenty-five years ago. In 2017 I gave up chicken and other poultry unless it was organic, free of antibiotics, and growth hormones, which mimic estrogen. Additionally, I’ve increased the number of organic foods I eat. 75% – 85% of all of my grocery purchases are now organic.
A few months ago, I started using natural shampoos and conditioners. This weekend I made some more strides in the elimination of more toxic products by making my lotion and discarding old products that are full of toxins and Xenoestrogens. This upcoming week, I will be making body wash and body butter. Recipe and images below:

In Sacral Chakra: Balance Yourself Emotionally, Sexually, and Creatively, I discussed meditation and eating to align with balancing the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra is at the lower abdomen about two inches below the navel. It is related to sensuality, sexuality, reproductive organs, and creativity. If the sacral chakra is unbalanced or blocked, fibroids could be a manifestation of that. So in my holistic approach to getting control of my fibroids, I have made a conscious and aggressive approach to balancing my sacral chakra in hopes of that addressing the fibroids in the process.
Essential oils have been an important part of my existence recently. They have allowed me to do the following:
๐ธ Select oils to help balance my sacral chakra, using orange essential oil.
๐ธ Use oils to balance my progesterone and estrogen levels, using lavender, thyme, and rosemary oil.
๐ธ Select oils to add to coconut oil to replace traditional lotion, which includes Xenoestrogens.
Additionally, using these oils in a diffuser dispersing the fragrance throughout my home.
Crystals have also been a part of my holistic approach to trying to maneuver through life dealing with these fibroids. I work directly with a company that creates custom crystal pieces that I use to balance chakras. I’ve purchased the following crystal bracelets:
๐ธ Bloodstone to balance ALL Chakras
๐ธ Yellow Jade for the Solar Plexus Chakra
๐ธ Hematite & Sardonyx for the Root Chakra
๐ธ Red Riverstone & Bulls Eye Agate for the Root Chakra
I plan to purchase four custom pendants that I will use for necklaces and chakra balancing waist jewelry.
๐ธ Bloodstone to balance ALL Chakras
๐ธ Citrine for the Sacral Chakra
๐ธ Pink Aventurine for the Heart Chakra
๐ธ Green Aventurine for the Heart Chakra
I am additionally taking a variety of vitamins and supplements to complement the sacral chakra, essential oils, crystal treatments, diet and intermittent fasting, I am using. Those vitamins are:
๐ธ Omega – 3
๐ธ B Complex
๐ธ B-6
๐ธ Vitamin D
๐ธ Vitamin C
๐ธ MSM
๐ธ Indole – 3 – Carbinol
๐ธ Acidophilus
I don’t know successful I will be on this journey, but I will keep you posted.
I am not a doctor, this is NOT medical advice and this is ONLY my experience. Also, I failed high school biology. ๐ฅด๐ฅด๐ฅด
