I believe the “easiest” part of therapy is behind me. I think, moving forward, there will be difficult and challenging sessions. Those incremental hours will probably range from moderate to extremely difficult. I was aware that things would probably get more complicated as I tackle more topics that need to be addressed.
Session 16 was so difficult, and it challenged me as none of the previous sessions. I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg, honestly. This one was less intense, but the subject matter was closely related. All of these sessions moving forward will probably be similar as I believe the foundation of my unraveling rests in the focus area covered, in the past few weeks. I feel a few very emotionally exhausting weeks coming up, so this week feels like the calm before the storm.
Toward the end of the session, we got a bit into Chakras. Honestly, I use to hear people talking about chakras, and I would be giving them the biggest side-eye ever. However, after listening to a bit about it, it made some sense. To me, chakras seem to focus on human beings and their connection to the earth and nature. That’s logical enough.
We discussed which of the seven chakras should be my area of focus and how I should move forward with this process.
It was very coincidental, or maybe not that we discussed this since I recently started meditating before bed. I was quite amazed by how much better I slept in the past week that I started meditating. I guess meditation was in preparation for this session of discussion about chakras. That is a switch because I’m usually consciously preparing for the therapy this week, but this time I was unconsciously preparing.
I’ve always considered myself a bit of a peace and love sort. Now I am going to be peace love and chakra sort. That’s because I plan to do more research on chakras in hopes that it may be helpful in moving forward in my healing process.
I would love to know your thoughts on chakras, this session, therapy in general, and more about your journey in getting better in touch with who you are through therapy. Reach out, let’s chat on FB, IG, and Twitter. Until then, Happy Healing.
